Yes. FrameLogic has a dedicated ceiling framing mode for residential projects. It calculates joist layout, perimeter framing, drywall sheets, and generates the ceiling diagram separately. You can run wall and ceiling calculations independently or together on the same project.
Yes. You can choose between wood framing and metal framing. In metal mode, the app calculates tracks (top and bottom), metal studs, and switches screws to self-tapping type automatically. Just select the mode and the rest adjusts.
Yes, in wall mode you can add as many doors and windows as you need. The app deducts the opening area from drywall and adjusts stud placement accordingly — including the extra trimmer studs and headers that framing requires. Ceiling mode doesn't use openings.
